{"id":10086,"date":"2026-08-14T15:39:13","date_gmt":"2026-08-14T20:39:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambpanama.esteri.it\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2026\/08\/elezione-dei-comitati-degli-italiani-allestero-comites-2026-modalita-per-la-richiesta-di-iscrizione-nellelenco-elettorale\/"},"modified":"2026-08-14T15:42:58","modified_gmt":"2026-08-14T20:42:58","slug":"elezione-dei-comitati-degli-italiani-allestero-comites-2026-modalita-per-la-richiesta-di-iscrizione-nellelenco-elettorale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambpanama.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2026\/08\/elezione-dei-comitati-degli-italiani-allestero-comites-2026-modalita-per-la-richiesta-di-iscrizione-nellelenco-elettorale\/","title":{"rendered":"Elections of the Committees of Italians Abroad &#8211; COMITES 2026 HOW TO REQUEST REGISTRATION ON THE ELECTORAL ROLL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-start=\"2156\" data-end=\"2251\">The elections for the renewal and establishment of the COMITES will be held by the end of 2026.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2253\" data-end=\"2508\">The Committees of Italians Abroad are representative bodies of the Italian community in its relations with diplomatic and consular missions and work to promote the integration of the Italian community residing in the foreign country in which they operate.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2510\" data-end=\"2774\">Eligible voters who meet the legal requirements for voting and who have been residing and registered with AIRE within the consular district for at least <strong data-start=\"2663\" data-end=\"2675\">6 MONTHS<\/strong> (as of the date of the elections) will be entitled to take part in this important electoral event.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2776\" data-end=\"3031\">Voting takes place by mail. However, unlike political elections and referendums, the electoral package will be sent <strong data-start=\"2892\" data-end=\"2900\">ONLY<\/strong> to voters who have expressly requested to be registered on the electoral roll for the Com.It.Es. elections <strong data-start=\"3008\" data-end=\"3030\">by 4 November 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3033\" data-end=\"3223\"><strong data-start=\"3033\" data-end=\"3049\">PLEASE NOTE:<\/strong> in order to receive the electoral package, voters must therefore request registration on the electoral roll from their competent Consulate <strong data-start=\"3189\" data-end=\"3222\">NO LATER THAN 4 NOVEMBER 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3225\" data-end=\"3358\">Citizens may submit the form requesting registration on the electoral roll for the Com.It.Es. elections in one of the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"3360\" data-end=\"3695\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1bjgnqw\" data-start=\"3360\" data-end=\"3464\">by submitting it in person (by appointment, where required, and presenting a valid identity document);<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"q1hqie\" data-start=\"3465\" data-end=\"3570\">by sending it by post together with a photocopy of an identity document bearing the holder\u2019s signature;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"5a1ng9\" data-start=\"3571\" data-end=\"3695\" data-is-last-node=\"\">by sending it by ordinary or certified email, together with a copy of an identity document bearing the holder\u2019s signature.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The elections for the renewal and establishment of the COMITES will be held by the end of 2026.
