Agreements

There are several agreements between Italy and Panama, since the Treaty of Friendship, Trade and Navigation, signed in 1965 and through which they recognize each other’s citizens rights, including freedom of movement within the territory of the other State.

The main agreements include:

Agreement for cultural and scientific cooperation, signed in Rome on 02.05.2007 and ratified by both countries.

Agreement against double taxation, signed in Rome and Panama on 30.12.2010, ratified by Panama on 10.5.2011. From Italian part 28.9.2016 the Foreign Commission of the Senate has approved of the second reading the provision of ratification.

Agreement on mutual assistance in criminal matters, signed on 25.11.2013, 15.3.2016 the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber has completed the parliamentary ratification process.

Agreement on extradition, signed on 25.11.2013, on 15.3.2016 the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber has completed the parliamentary ratification process.
