Scholarships

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers scholarships every year to foreign and Italian students living abroad (IRE), with the aim of encouraging cooperation in the cultural, scientific and technological fields, the projection of the economic system of Italy in the world and the dissemination of knowledge of the Italian language and culture (Ref. Law 288/55 and subsequent amendments and additions).

Scholarships are offered to carry out programs of study, training and/or research at Italian state or legally recognized institutions.

Types of courses for which applications can be submitted

  • Master’s degree courses;
  • Advanced vocational, artistic and musical training courses (AFAM);
  • PhD programmes;
  • Study projects in co-protection;

Online applications must be submitted using the Portal  Study in Italy

Applications must be sent exclusively electronically, accessing the portal, after registration through username and password. Please read the relevant notices carefully.
