We inform you that FROM SUNDAY, MAY 25, 2025, voters who have not yet received the electoral envelope for the postal vote on the occasion of the repealing referendums of June 8 and 9 at their address of residence can request a DUPLICATE at this Embassy.
The request for a duplicate can be submitted in person at the Consular Office, IN THIS CASE FROM MONDAY, MAY 26, OR BY POST, ORDINARY E-MAIL to consolare.panama@esteri.it OR CERTIFIED E-MAIL to amb.panama@cert.esteri.it
The application, which can be written using the template available here, must be accompanied by a valid identification document.
Voters who request a duplicate of the ballot envelope must declare that they are aware of the criminal responsibilities arising from double voting, provided for in Article 18, paragraph 2, of Law 459/2001, according to which: “Whoever, on the occasion of elections to the Chambers of Deputies and referendums, votes both by mail and at the polling station of the last registration in Italy, or vote several times by mail, will be punished with imprisonment of one to three years and a fine of 52 to 258 euros”.
Once the appropriate controls will be carried out, this Embassy will provide the interested parties with the necessary information for the issuance of the duplicate. The duplicate may be mailed to the requesting voter’s residence address (if there is time to receive the packet) or issued in person, during the hours of operation of the Consular Office, i.e., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Please note that this Office, exclusively for the issuance of duplicate ballot envelopes, will also observe the following extraordinary openings to the public: Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Finally, please note that the pre-sealed envelopes containing the voted ballots must arrive at this Embassy by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025.
